Abstract
The article reviews the edited volume Europeizacja wolności religijnej. Przypadek Polski [The Europeanization of Religious Freedom: The Case of Poland] (Gdańsk 2025), edited by Kazimierz M. Ujazdowski. The reviewer discusses the value of the Polish constitutional model of religious freedom, grounded in Article 53 and in the principle of the autonomy and cooperation of state and Church (Article 25), as well as its Europeanization. While appreciating the volume's merits, the author engages it critically and identifies two threats to the model's legitimacy: the temptation for the Church to become a "religious interest group" or an "actor of civil society."Keywords:
